Our 100% online programs, taught in the Jesuit Catholic tradition, focus on applicable skill sets — all at an affordable cost.
Due to state regulations regarding the delivery of distance education, as well as requirements of each individual state board of nursing, Xavier is not currently able to accept applications from all states into all of its online programs.
Applications permitted from residents of all states.
Applications permitted from residents of all states.
While Xavier is able to offer online programs to residents of all states through its participate in SARA, the College of Nursing and all its programs are subject to the rules and regulations of the Boards of Nursing in each state/territory where its students reside. Based upon individual state/territory rules and regulations, Xavier may not be able to offer admission to residents of each US state/territory into each program. In addition, as online licensure programs, Xavier’s Nurse Practitioner programs must meet educational requirements for licensure in a state/territory in order to admit residents. Students who are located in states or territories where Xavier does not meet educational requirements for licensure may complete an attestation that they intend to apply for licensure in a state or territory where Xavier does meet educational requirements for licensure. For specific information, see this list detailing whether each state/territory meets state authorization and licensure requirements. For more information on licensure disclosure, see our Professional Licensure webpage.

Xavier University strives to provide the highest quality educational experience for all of its students. However, if a conflict does arise, students are encouraged to reach out to the appropriate personnel to discuss concerns, grievances and complaints. Issues related to academic courses should be raised first with the instructor, then the instructor’s department chair and finally the instructor’s dean, if necessary. Issues related to sex discrimination should be filed with the Title IX Office.
If an issue cannot be resolved by Xavier University’s internal processes, students in online courses in SARA states may choose to file a complaint with the Ohio Department of Higher Education.
