Veterans and Military Benefits
At Xavier University, we are proud to support our veterans, military service members and their families. In fact, we have been consistently recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top 10 Midwest Regional Universities for veterans’ services.
As an online student, you have access to our Center for Veterans Affairs, which provides the support and assistance active military members and veterans need to get a high-quality education and earn a degree that leads to a successful career. The center offers on-campus and remote counseling and assistance for all military students.

Proud participant of the Yellow Ribbon Program

Ranked “military friendly school” by G.I. Jobs magazine

Ranked #7 in the Midwest for veteran services by U.S. News and World Report
Xavier’s admissions process evaluates each prospective student on an individual basis. We understand that military service results in a unique set of experiences and skills, so we take military training and life experience into account when evaluating student veterans. We also have counselors at the Xavier Center for Veterans Affairs who will meet with any student veteran individually to learn more about his or her background and application.
To be admitted as a student-veteran at Xavier University, you must provide an official transcript directly from all colleges or universities that you have attended for any undergraduate and graduate coursework.
Absolutely! Xavier’s Center for Veterans Affairs and Office of the Bursar have resources to help you identify any and all financial aid you are eligible for. Remember that the first step is filling out the FAFSA as early as possible.
